"The inability for some companies to distinguish between intellectual property and common concepts and even personal opinion that are “not the opinion of ones employer” is a real problem when it comes to allowing people to share real, meaningful experience."

That's the exact reason why I don't work as an employee anymore and hopefully, will never do so again.

Ok, thats weird. I listened to the exact same podcast last night and was also taken with what Udell was talking about and thinking about the same thing.

The sad thing is that about 60% of ones time is spent at work, which is essentially the bulk of your life. Most of your experiences happen during this time. The inability for some companies to distinguish between intellectual property and common concepts and even personal opinion that are "not the opinion of ones employer" is a real problem when it comes to allowing people to share real, meaningful experience.

I share Udells concerns as well. As a matter of fact, I think its pretty damn sad.
